2collab introduces community generated content to ScienceDirect

I am proud to announce that we have just completed the 2nd phase of our integration with ScienceDirect – bringing back community generated tags, comments and ratings into the article pages in ScienceDirect, for all articles that have been bookmarked in 2collab. Click on the image below to see a screenshot of how this looks. This is completion of the first stage of 2collab strategy, to augment peer-reviewed scientific output with information that actual researchers have appended to the articles.
2collab user content in ScienceDirect
The aim is to provide researchers with more information at point of access that helps them make quality decisions – making more use of their time, opening up avenues of investigation and also helping identify other experts and specialists that may provide new research partnerships. If yu have access to ScienceDirect, please do take a look and post any feedback to us.

We’re not quite the first to do this, as our colleagues at Engineering Village have been allowing users to post and attach their tags to content for a while now. But it’s good to see Elsevier leading the trend!
